This kind of stuff happens all of the time.
I blame myself. I mean what was I thinking?
I know I should check. I even think to myself- Rachel you should check- because the fairies never come.
I mean- it is not anything new or unexpected. Like the gum in the laundry or dishes in the sink. Or being out of toliet paper- and you know you should check- but just assume a new roll was replaced and put under the sink in the spot that is specifically designated for toilet paper. Look- always check. Double check if necessary. (Which is always necessary with TP).
This is what happened today- yes that is my grocery list, printed coupons, and some new recipes….

All printed on BLUE paper.
We were out of paper for a week or so- and after several times of asking my dear hubby to get new printer paper- I got it myself.
I didn’t load the new paper- I thought he might do it. But alas- he has been using blue paper. And of course I didn’t check. So my bad. I guess it will look pretty in my recipe book and while shopping this week. And the kids at youth group don’t care- so he thought it was a good idea.
But really- I am not mad. I laughed when I found my print jobs. Because I knew I should check to see if the new paper was loaded. And was surprised by the bright reminder to always double check.

***I am not bashing my guy. Because he is great. He works full-time, giving himself to ministry even when he feels spent. He is a full-time student, plugging away at course work at all hours with the aspirations of giving himself more opportunities and being a role model for our kid. He is a great dad- I mean O can’t get enough of him. A loving son. A great friend. My best friend and the most supportive husband. (Remember this recent post?)
If you know us- you also know it is not all overlooking the little stuff in our relationship. We get into tifs about everything plenty of stuff. (Seriously- the clothes are in a pile next to the clothes basket?)
So to remain sane and keep the peace I choose to forget about the gum, the tp and dishes- and stay positive (for today).
Because really it’s not important and he really does deserve a break when it comes to the blue paper.
